Important Dates to note 1918: Introduction of the first Physical Education (PE) syllabus. 1927: Revision of the Syllabus 1933: Introduction of the last colonial syllabus of Physical Training for Schools 1954: the 1933 syllabus was abolished and was replaced in 1955 by the Ministry of Education. 1956: Publication of the first indigenous PE syllabus for primary schools.
